Reflections

After reading the excellent post by AJ, i felt the need to recognise those who have so greatly influenced my life. Though at the time I didn't necessarily realise it, both Chris and Mike would have dramatic impacts on my life.

Chris took the time away from being in church to spend time listening to the worldly ideas of a 16 year old. He patiently taught me the basics of the Word when beforehand I had no concept of ideas as simple as salvation and redeption or even if christians believed in hell or the devil.

Mike helped me through the easily the hardest time of my life and was one of the few people to show me truth, love and empathy, no matter what the hour. When the rest of the support systems arround me found things to difficult and collapsed, Mike was the one who helped me see a small glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel when I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face.

For the Lords love and provision of these people in my life I am truely thankful. I guess I can only hope to in someway be a blessing to others, as these two were to me, as well as many others. They are huge shoes to fill.
